Photo wall For several years I have been busy to paste all my photos that I had on paper. A very large scrapbook, the size of which is 65x50 and 165 separate pages. They are photographs of works of art, family, vacation and nature. I have collected these composite images at random. Not necessarily in order or by date. The installation / photo wall has the size of 390 high by 1500 cm. With this photo wall I try to show a part of my life in a bird's-eye view.

Lost & Found As a collector of old and sometimes discarded utensils, which appear to be unimportant, can be an important and new application for the objects I put together. That which I collect and store and which has lost its function can thus get a new and meaningful meaning. I regularly take the objects in my hand, turn them around and look at the color and shapes and whether they can be an addition to the object to be made. All kinds of materials like screws, nuts, iron wire, springs, chains. Steel, lead, trestles, wood etc. are of significance to me. I collect larger objects to make the works of art entitled GREY. Working with these "objets trouves" that retain their original form but which I have at the same time given a different form of expression by merging them. The materials used are freed from their original meaning because I paint everything in an even grey color. This gives it a new context and new objects and installations are created.

The RAAMWORK is now a schematic plan that needs to be completed even further in the period from 5 June to 2 July 2017. From June 5 to June 21 Petra Wiek and Robert Verhaaf are working on the RAAMWERK. The construction / assembly of the WINDOW WORK is in the gallery space of Ateliers BaZtille. The WINDOW WORK is sawn, glued and assembled on site. The gallery can be visited during the process of making. There can be a conversation with Petra and Robert about the process of the installation. Everyone is welcome to participate. During the aforementioned period, the times are from 13.00 to 17.00 every day. If work is done in the evening then this will be mentioned via the website of Ateliers BaZtille, www.baztille.nl and the facebook page. The RAAMWORK will be assembled with prefabricated wooden slats that are intended for moldings for paintings, etc. The frames that have been created in terms of dimensions based on the golden section. The successive frames are getting smaller and smaller in size. The aim is to make a multitude of frameworks. FRAMEWORK Process, research and conversation will result in an installation / exhibition. During the exhibition new objects from the GRAY series will also be shown by Petra Wiek.
