All sound come to live and are controlled by light, using 'lightefface' instrument (find out more about it in this video: vimeo.com/59142013 ). Various light sources lend themselves to different sound manipulation techniques.see documentation at: https://vimeo.com/88595140

The central point of the installation is a clock. Visitors can bring to life and explore sounds from various times of the day by moving their hands around the clock. This way they create their own journey through the time and soundscapes. see documentation at: https://vimeo.com/53553897

see video documentation at: https://vimeo.com/12931980 Under each of the round containers with water there is a speaker. Each speaker produces a sine tone of a frequency that depends directly on the time at a given moment. The time is projected onto containers. The sound makes the water vibrate and reflections of the water create an interesting result... In order to make the passing time more intensive, minutes get louder with every second. I decided to use very low frequencies (between 8-120 hertz) because they gave the best results. 8 Hertz is below the audible range of human being so sometimes we can see the sound but we can not actually hear it.

2019Bunker Exhibition #37 Bunker at the Waterkant tea house The Hague, Netherlands This exhibition is a special occasion for me as it's my first solo show. I'm going to present four sound-installations, some of them will be remade and updated versions of works that I have been working on for quite some time and some will be new. There will be three site specific projects that explore the intricate relationship between the sound and time: 'SoundLapse', 'Listening to…' and 'Around the Clock'. These three projects will be updated to work with the site-specific sounds of the exhibitions space - the bunker in Westbroekpark. As an extra work I will prepare a new installation 'In Quotes' (working title) that is based on sample collection from movies, speeches and other sources. bunkerexposities.nl/bunkerexpositie-37/ Solo
