Sabine Rovers

I am a social documentary photographer based in The Hague (b. 1992, Ascot, UK). My photography is driven by an openness, sincerity and curiosity to understand and connect with new people and communities I come across. From these connections I like to tell intimate and open-hearted stories that evoke feelings of humanity and optimism in us all. Involvement and cooperation are essential in my process. I prefer to make work with my subjects, instead of about them. By telling stories that connect us to the world around us, I hope to open up perspectives and share worlds that might not otherwise be seen or heard.
