(un)scripted began with the making of a short fiction film and transformed into a complicated reality show with a plot twist. The result is a tragicomic spectacle of contrasting expectations in which the artist and her opponent explore intimacy and commitment within a staged love affair. The scenes and conversations, shot in a living space on a ship, try to grasp the layered range of experienced emotions, vulnerability, desire and trust, sometimes painfully balancing between reality and fiction. An open air cinema on the dried-up bottom of a lake in Bosnia and Herzegovina opens a window to a silent past. Through an associative collage of amateur tourist films and a fisherman's astute reflections on souvenirs of communist Yugoslavia, archival images bring colour to the landscape.

'Spiegl' is a film about the story of a Jewish man who fled Czecho-Slovakia in 1988 in his early twenties and stayed in Austria as a refugee, still living as a woman at the time. In a collage road movie of documentary scenes, reenactments and opera, we get closer to the man's story and the friendship between him and the filmmaker. Encounters with people on the streets mirror or contradict the man's stories and reenactments in a studio evoke reflection on his personal history, partly embodied by the role of a female soprano, translating these stories into music. The borders between reality, memory and fiction get blurred, embedded in major historical shifts, contradictions and tensions in a rapidly changing Europe.

'The Failed Holiday - Episode 10' is an intimate family portrait in which the camera, used alternately by two daughters, mother and father, becomes an independent witness to circumstances and changes in their family home. The film starts during the lockdown, where time comes to a standstill and neighbours along with construction workers are the only people in the filmmaker's immediate vicinity. Isolated in her apartment, she starts digging through her archive of home videos and short fiction films that she and her sister made together in their early teenage years. Film appears to be a common thread through their lives from the beginning. It seems to be what kept things somehow together when the family fell apart and stories were a welcome escape for the sisters.

From August 2015 until September 2018, I lived at 115, Gebroeders Vandeveldestraat, Ghent, Belgium. I shared the kitchen, bathroom, toilet and hallways of the old and noisy house with seven housemates. One of them had a room in the attic and was unknown to me and all my other housemates. In the summer of 2018, we received a mysterious letter that encouraged a search about the life of our unknown housemate and so the tragic story came to the surface.
