Der Himmel on Earth
Over the next 10 years, the Hague visual artist and cultural entrepreneur Sis Josip - in collaboration with many others - will examine the sky and represent artistically: how is heaven organized? how does heaven work? what does heaven look like; what kind of influence does heaven have on the cosmos, the earth and on us humans.
The Der Himmel on Earth project aims to: visualize mystical, religious experiences in modern visual arts, music and other forms of expression to show that man is primarily a reflection of God and not an upgraded ape.
Der Himmel on Earth focuses on Western esotericism and mysticism within the Christian tradition and in particular the Roman Catholic faith, but it also focuses on a broader orientation.

2018The pillar of the Good Sis Josip Galerie The Hague, Netherlands The Pillar of the Good is the first work of art that Sis Josip makes for Der Himmel on Earth. (March 2018) Hildegard von Bingen sees a building in a vision. On the west corner of the building she sees a mysterious, but extremely strong, dark red column. This was built into the corner of the wall in such a way that it was visible both from the inside and the outside. This column was so extensive that the height and width were impossible to see, but the beautiful symmetry of it. On the outside there were three steel-colored edges, from top to bottom as sharp as a sword. www.sisjosip.nl Solo

2018Dance of Virtues Sis Josip Galerie The Hague, Netherlands In Dance of Virtues, Sis Josip and Styliana Apostolou transform 4 virtues and vices into a dance performance that each express a disrupted duality. Hildegard von Bingen, like the Buddha, is a proponent of the way of the middle that leads to enlightenment and ultimately to God. The goal of the good pairs is therefore not to reach one or the other but to find the middle. This requires a daily struggle to lift yourself up and not to go down to vice. www.sisjosip.nl Duo
